A throne fit for gaming royalty.

The gaming chair market has picked up ferociously over the past few years, with companies like SecretLab, Alienware, Respawn, and others trying to provide the best kind of seating for streamers and fans everywhere. That said, there may be too many competitors to choose from, so it helps to build a chair that stands out in a crowd. And this, folks, is where Vertagear comes in.

The long-time manufacturer of chairs recently unveiled its PL6000 line, which not only offers a slightly bigger size over typical gaming chairs but also able to handle more weight. This is ideal for those that are a bit on the larger size, though it also offers something to the average-sized gamer as well. The company recently invited us to try out one of these models to see how it fares, and, honestly, it’s going to be a little hard going to others after this. It’s just so comfy!

A Big Chair, But Easy To Put Together

The PL6000 chair model we received (pictured in this review) is pretty sizable, coming in at 33” x 28” x 13”. It also comes in a variety of colors and can hold weight up to 440 pounds, which would hold a sizable gamer or, who knows, maybe even someone and their girlfriend if they’re trying to game together. (The armrests might get in the way though.)

What’s great about the PL6000 is how incredibly easy it is to assemble. Though the manual isn’t quite in straightforward English, it’s fairly easy to follow, as you attach the wheels, base and essentially the chair frame into its strong model. It’s also made of PVC leather, which means it can withstand wear more than the routinely designed chair, which is a good thing.

It’s also available in a variety of colors. We opted for the orange and black model, though there’s also camo, grey, green, white, blue, red and, if you’re feeling particularly banana-ish, yellow. The different varieties are nice, and the branding is still clear (but not obnoxious enough) for streaming fans to see.

What’s the Comfort Level?

Honestly, the size of the Vertagear PL6000 is what really makes the difference. This is a big chair, capable of holding a pretty sturdy frame without having to squeeze someone between the armrests. It’s also highly adjustable, so you can fixate the height and even how far back you lean in the chair without much difficulty.

The armrests are adjustable as well, as you can pivot them up and down, and even turn them out if you need a little more room. These are probably the most cheaply made part of the chair, but, fortunately, they don’t seem to be built to break.

The chair also has some pretty solid wheels, so you can roll around your gaming center with ease. Just make sure they’re snapped firmly into place and go scootin’! Just make sure you don’t go too much off-road though – a patio chair, this is not.

Despite a solid build and an easy-to-assemble model, the Vertagear PL6000 does have a setback – its price. While most game chairs are around $150-$200 or so, this model goes for a whopping $490. That can be quite the setback for many, but keep in mind you get what you pay for – good, strong quality that will hold you up, even during the most feverish game sessions. If you want to go cheap, you’ll get cheap. But invest in this and you’ll definitely get your money’s worth.

Have a Seat

If you can afford the hefty price tag and accept the fact that the chair might be too big for some miniscule gamers out there, the Vertagear PL6000 is a top-notch offering. It’s incredibly comfortable and adjustable, fairly easy to build, and easy on the eyes for you streaming types. Plus its quality guarantees it won’t fall apart that easily whatsoever, especially with its PVC leather. It’s a throne fit for a gaming king of queen, so take a seat!
